  • NASA exhibits 5.5 meter friction stir-welded and spun-formed tank dome manufactured by MT Aerospace
  • MT Aerospace wins contract to develop body flaps and heat shield components for European re-entry vehicle IXV
  • 50th launch of ARIANE 5

2009

  • MT Aerospace receives major order for 35 additional ship sets for ARIANE 5
  • Foundation of MT Mecatronica, Chile, providing assembly services to the international ALMA telescope project
  • MT Aerospace wins contract to develop & manufacture Airbus A350 water tanks
  • MT Mechatronics wins contract to supply 670 ton high-precision gantry to the Heidelberg ion beam cancer treatment facility
  • MT Aerospace qualifies Alphabus propellant tank – the largest tank of its kind worldwide

2008

  • ARIANE 5 successfully transports "Jules Verne", the first ATV (Automated Transfer Vehicle), into orbit. MT Aerospace developed and supplied tanks and structures
  • Soyuz ground infrastructure in Kourou (French Guiana) commissioned

2006

  • First launch of ARIANE 5 with welded booster cases made by MT Aerospace

2005

  • Formation fo MT Aerospace AG, acquired by OHB Technology AG (70%) and Apollo Capital Partners (30%)
  • Batch order of 27 ship sets for ARIANE 5

2000

  • Acquisition of Dowty Boulton Ltd. satellite tank business, England, by MT Satellite Products Ltd.

  • First successful launch of ARIANE 5
  • Acquisition of ZEPPELIN TECHNOLOGIE GmbH in Friedrichshafen
  • Foundation of subsidiary company MAN Spatial Guyane S.A.S. for operation and maintenance of launching systems in Kourou (French Guiana)

1996

  • Acquisition of ARIANE tank production in Oberpfaffenhofen, from Daimler-Benz Aerospace (DASA)

1994

  • Delivery of the 1000th Airbus potable water tank

1989

  • Delivery of the 1st potable water tank for the Airbus A320
