Major consultancy contract from Latvia

International cooperation with Ventspils University College in Latvia.

On behalf of Ventspils University College in Latvia, MT Mechatronics will extensively analyse a complete reflector supporting structure of an old Russian 32-metre antenna installation and will draw up an engineering plan for its refurbishment. Since there are no longer any technical documents for the installation, MT Mechatronics will record the existing structure in Latvia with laser scanning technology and use the data to generate a three-dimensional CAD/FEM model in Mainz. Moreover the structure will be inspected visually for damage, and material samples will be taken at selected points. All the compiled information will be used to analyse the state of the installation, to issue expert certification and to formulate an update and repair engineering for future operations. Any required hardware tasks do not form part of the contract, but on-site monitoring of these is, however, an option. With this order MT Mechatronics is opening up a specialist consultancy business field with a highly exclusive profile.
