Further important milestone reached in the construction of the Ariane 6 launch facilities
The new European Ariane 6 launch vehicle is to embark on its maiden flight from the Kourou space center in French-Guyana in July 2020. MT Aerospace AG and its Mainz-based subsidiary MT Mechatronics GmbH are constructing the mechanical launch facilities (ELA 4) in the Amazon region in a contract for the French space agency CNES.

MT Aerospace ships the first tank for Ariane 6 to ArianeGroup in Bremen
Augsburg/Bremen, April 4, 2018 With the hydrogen tank MT Aerospace has delivered the first component for the upper stage for the future European launch vehicle Ariane 6 to the ArianeGroup’s new production center in Bremen. Fabricated in Augsburg using the latest equipment and optimized processes, the tank floors and cylinder panels were assembled by MT Aerospace in Bremen to form a propellant tank.

MT Mechatronics awarded a contract for the large precision system for the Ariane 6 launch pad in Kourou
Construction of the new launch facilities for the Ariane 6 launcher in Kourou, French Guiana, making swift progress. MT Mechatronics is playing a material role and has now prevailed over the European competition with the receipt of a contract for the delivery of the precision system for the mechanical ground support equipment MGSE.
MT Aerospace is conducting research into new concepts for commercial micro-launchers on behalf of ESA
Until now, small satellites have frequently had to “ride piggyback” on larger missions. In an effort to find ways of reducing the time required to place them in low earth orbits, the European Space Agency ESA recently instructed MT Aerospace AG among others to conduct feasibility studies into micro-launchers.

The new European launch vehicle ARIANE 6 is to embark on its maiden flight from the Kourou space center in French-Guiana in July 2020. MT Aerospace AG and its Mainz-based subsidiary MT Mechatronics GmbH are constructing the mechanical launch facilities (ELA 4) in the Amazon region in a contract for the French space agency CNES. With the successful completion of the critical design review at the end of November, Europe has come one important step closer to completing the ground facilities for the new launch vehicle.

MT Mechatronics awarded engineering contract for the Giant Magellan Telescope
Mainz, Germany/Pasadena, United States/ December 8th, 2017. It aims to revolutionize our understanding of how the universe arose and unlock its secrets: the Giant Magellan Telescope (GMT). MT Mechatronics GmbH, a subsidiary of Bremen-based space technology company OHB SE, has been awarded an engineering reviewing and engineering validation contract by the Giant Magellan Telescope Organization (GMTO) for the construction of the mount for the 24.5-meter telescope in a project worth a total of around 1 billion US dollars.

MT Aerospace awarded contract for the development of tank and structural components for the new Ariane 6 launcher
Augsburg, Germany-based space technology company MT Aerospace AG, a subsidiary of the listed technology group OHB SE (Prime Standard, ISIN: DE0005936124), has signed a contract with Airbus Safran Launchers for the development of key tank and structural components for the new European Ariane 6 launcher. Overall value of development contracts, Valued at around EUR 170 million, the development covers all necessary development activities up to the completion of the planned maiden flight of the launcher in 2020 as well as spending on the establishment of production capacities for up to twelve launches a year.
International Astronautical Congress will take place in Bremen in 2018
Bremen, March 17, 2017. OHB SE and MT Aerospace AG (a subsidiary of OHB SE, Prime Standard, ISIN DE0005936124) are partners of “Team Germany“ who is going to support the organization of the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) in Bremen next year. On a ceremony in the Bremen City Hall, the partners signed a co-operation treaty today.
